Cover Front: Color variations exist from extremely an extremely light blue tint to a darker blue. The earliest covers are likely the lighter tinted blues. All gold print is embossed or raised. The cover has a wood grain texture to it and is die cut to expose an image of Elvis from the inner sleeve and has a note on bottom, Enclosed: Illustrated memory log with 4-color picture suitable for framing. The second cover is supposedly introduced in 1977, not pictured, is also a lighter tint blue, die cut, wood grain texture, with note about memory log; however, the gold print is flat. The third cover is the same as the second cover except it is significantly darker blue in tint. The last cover is flat finish with no die cut. The gold print is now a yellowish print. There is no note about a memory log as one is not included with the final re-release.
Cover Back: The first three covers contain the same back with two columns with song titles and additional information in brackets followed by RCA and catalog number bottom center. Copyright bottom center. The final back has an RE lower left corner with a significantly different back that was taken from the inner sleeve of the earlier releases.
