Sticker
A copy has been found with a white sticker with red print that measures 5″ x 3 7/16″ in size. This sticker is affixed to the shrinkwrap. Due to its size and the obtrusive nature of its positioning on the cover, it would be difficult to image that many of these stickers survived. The example, as seen in the latest Presleyana VII book, on this site is a combination of a couple of pictures, however, quite accurate. It is a generic sticker which may be found on other records by other artists reads:
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO RECORD BUYERS: This record is no longer available in mono. Improved recording methods and improved players make it practical to play stereo records on regular mono hi-fi phonographs. Recognizing this fact, most major record companies recently began issuing new releases in stereo only, or in limited mono quantities. THIS STEREO RECORD — WHICH COSTS NO MORE THAN MONO — IS GUARANTEED TO PLAY ON YOUR MONO PHONOGRAPH WITH COMPLETE SATISFACTION. If the pick-up cartridge on your phonograph is over 5 years old we recommend it be checked to assure longest life for stereo records.
